The PADI Course Director plays a pivotal role in your journey to becoming a professional scuba instructor. As the highest level of PADI professionals, Course Directors are responsible for overseeing the Instructor Development Course (IDC), guiding and mentoring candidates through the process of becoming PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors (OWSI). Their expertise ensures that you not only learn the essential teaching methods and dive skills but also gain the confidence and knowledge to lead and inspire new divers.
Throughout the IDC, the Course Director acts as your primary mentor, offering personalized feedback, real-world insights, and structured guidance on topics ranging from dive theory and teaching techniques to risk management and dive business operations. With their vast experience and deep understanding of PADI standards, Course Directors are instrumental in helping candidates successfully pass the PADI Instructor Examination (IE) and embark on rewarding careers in the dive industry.
